Hi! My name is Amanda, and I'm a 26 year old originally from Texas, but I have lived in South Carolina for 20 years. I love gardening, card games, and traveling.

I love world travel but haven't gotten to do it enough, and hope that I can live vicariously through the Postcrossing community! I've traveled to the UK, France, Sweden, and Mexico, and look forward to traveling some more in the future!

My favorite destination has been and will probably always be Scotland. I've got a passion for Scottish heritage and history, and even had a Scottish themed wedding (my husband can trace his Scottish heritage back on both sides of his family). I attended the University of Dundee in Dundee, Scotland, as an exchange student, and have returned once since. I live in a little town in South Carolina called Elgin, named after The City and Royal Burgh of Elgin, Moray, Scotland.

I'm a huge fan of other cultures; I love to see how other people just like me live their lives based on the country they live in. I'd love any type of postcard, in the native language would be cool as well, especially with non-Latin based alphabets (with translations, of course!). I'm particularly interested in the stamps. Postcards have such a wide array of stamps, and I would love to see how they vary from country to country.

I don't mind homemade cards at all... I know some of you out there are quite artistic! I've gotten one homemade card, but I'd love to have more, if you feel up to it :) Just put some effort into it, you know! :)
