Between running around after my three-year-old twins, I study writing at university. Now 40, I retired from graphic design last year. I'm sure I'll find time to paint again once the kids are a bit older.
Aside from that I somehow find time to knit, even though the knitting season is pretty short here in sub-tropical Brisbane. I also collect vintage junk, mostly the kinds of domestic items I grew up around. If it's old, I like it. If it's kitschy and tacky, so much the better.
I've been collecting postcards for around 20 years or so. I love unusual cards with some kind of design element, and I REALLY love anything vintage. Vintage tourist cards are a dream come true.
I have been collecting "By Night" postcards for years; the ones that are totally black, and say "Sydney by Night", for example. It's a very lame joke, which is why it's funny. I have about 42 of them now, so if you wanted to make it 43 you'd make me very happy indeed!
Of course, the card I love best is the one YOU choose to send. I'd really enjoy seeing where you live, or something about your culture. I look forward to hearing from you!
