About Michele...
Hi there!
My name is Michele, I live in Helena, Montana (USA). I am in my 40's and I am looking forward to receiving postcards from the world over. I live right between two of America's National Parks: Yellowstone to the south and Glacier-Waterton International Peace Park to the north. I am an avid photographer so I spend much of my free time in the parks.
I am anxious to learn about many new and wonderful places all over our wonderful planet!
Some of my other hobbies are Geocaching.com , reading, writing, crocheting, camping, hiking, cooking, gardening, and wasting time on Facebook.com (where I share all of my sent and received postcards with my online friends). When I am not doing one of those, I relax by sitting on my front deck, either by myself or surrounded by friends, enjoying the beauty of Montana's Rocky Mountains.
I enjoy hearing about an area's local history, so be sure to share a sentence or two! If you don't know much history, write about a local custom or event. Let me know about upcoming holidays and how you celebrate them. If there are postcards about it...I'd love to get one! I do celebrate Christian holidays (Christmas, Easter, etc) and a card to commerate these is welcome OR if you celebrate other holidays please write and tell me about the day and how it is traditionally celebrated.
I love postcards of all types-- EXCEPT advertisement cards (unless they have an historical theme or are a copy of a historical advertisement). Handmade cards are great! If you make your own please don't hesitate to send one. They are full of imagination, craftmanship, and are unique one-of-a-kind items. I collect
Rubber Duckies,
Hummingbirds,
Butterflies,
Sunrises and sunsets,
Boats or Sailing Ships,
and Tea Cups and/or Tea Pots,
so a card with one of those themes would be a joy!
Please write on the postcard and send it without an envelope. I like to see the stamps and travel marks the card may get as it finds it's way to my mailbox!
If you really can't think of something to write... just look out the window and tell me what you see!
HAPPY POSTCROSSING!
