About Shaé...

Hello! I am 23 years old. I'm a college graduate. Other than collecting postcards, I collect vinyls (music records). I am a nerd/bookworm, so suggest books of any genre if you like! I also enjoy swimming, hiking, art, movies, music, & traveling.
All postcards are fine. Write something! Anything! The best thing about collecting postcards is collecting the stories/knowledge they bring. You can write in English or your native tongue (translate?). I like getting postcards that have special meaning to the person sending them. If you can't decide what to send, here are some ideas:

*I really love the "Photobooth" collection postcard series by Babbette Hines. You can view my collection here: http://myglobalconnection.blogspot.com/2009/11/photobooth-collection-by-babbette-hines.html

*I also really love the Magnum° collection postcards. You can view my collection here: http://myglobalconnection.blogspot.com/2009/11/magnum-postcard-collection.html

*My family celebrates both Hanukkah and Christmas. Any holiday/religious/spiritual card is welcome!

*ANYTHING that shows your country (or your local area)/culture. It doesn't have to be famous/well-known.

*ANYTHING historical.

*I love Venetian/Harlequin masks. I love anything that has to do with masquerades/Carnevale di Venezia (Carnival of Venice).

*All animals/creatures/nature.

*Anything related to books and stage theatre. This includes musicals/ballet/opera. Anything related to the birth of movies to movies in the 1950's/60's. Some favorites: Charlie Chaplin, Alfred Hitchcock, Louise Brooks, Marilyn Monroe, Greta Garbo, Clark Gable.

*Art of every type (including photography/music/tattoos/piercings). A few favorites: Van Gogh, Salvador Dali, Leonardo da Vinci. Leonardo da Vinci was not just an artist so anything related to him is wonderful. I enjoy music of just about every genre! My favorite is any from the 1920's-1960's.

*Fantasy/Myth related.

*Postcards that are strange and unusual. Happy, funny, unfunny, cute, etc.

*Alice's Adventures in Wonderland/Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There (Alice in Wonderland).

*ANYTHING vintage. Anything that has to do with Medieval, Renaissance, Victorian-Edwardian, Elizabethan, and 1920s-40's. 1950's/60's is okay too.

*I do not mind postcards that are "adult" as long as they are tasteful/artistic.

Just some ideas. If you're still not sure, check out my favorites.
