About Cathy...

Hi,
my name is Cathy. I have lived in Pittsburgh, Pa for most of my life, and my husband and I have retired to the Sunshine state of Florida.
We live in a small town on the northwest shore of Tampa Bay. Proud Parents of 3, and now we have 2 beautiful granddaughters!

I have been riding trains for most of my life, and can find many excuses to travel by train rather than fly or drive. There is nothing to compare to seeing the country by train and there are still a few trains here which I look forward to riding. If and when I get the chance, I hope to see other countries by rail.

I love both antique/vintage and new postcards.
I like so many different cards that I am sure I will be happy with whatever card you send my way. I get as much pleasure from the message included that tells me a little about your self or your town/country, so I'm happy to see more than a postcard ID on the back.

If you want some suggestions I especially like cards of:

Trains/train stations, especially with streamliners or deisel engines
People/Children working or playing
President Barak Obama
Holidays
Fantasy
Food-especially sweets/desserts
Advertising Cards-and I also appreciate the wonderful, wild and wacky artwork found on advertising "rack cards" like Boomerang,Max,Go and Tower Cards.

Scenic Cards of your hometown or country, interesting buildings/houses/architecture
Street scenes
Mermaids
All animals, with a special fondness for Cats and Dachshunds
Unusual themes or subjects.

I have seen some fantastic self or professionally printed photo postcards, hand-painted and sketched cards and although I have no artistic talent myself, I would be very happy to receive one from you!

I use my favorites wall for cards that I don't have; and would like to receive that particular card or something similar.
Thanks for reading, wishing everyone a wonderful day and a full mailbox.
