About Yvonne...

Hi, I'm Yvonne, married and a stay-at-home-mum to a ten-year-old boy.

I find Postcrossing very addictive. It's really exciting to see where my next card will be sent to and of course finding one in my mailbox just makes my day!

I will appreciate every card I receive but like most postcrossers I do have some preferences:

*** landscapes, cityscapes and generally picture postcards from your country
- cards from these areas would make me especially happy:
US: New England states
UK: North and South Wales, Lake District, Peak District,
Northumberland, Yorkshire, National Trust Houses

*** nature, trees, wildflowers

*** food (especially if it's typical for your area)

*** cakes, cupcakes, sweets

*** map cards

*** nouvelles images cards

*** pictures with autumn colours

*** Halloween cards

*** in November/December Christmas cards

*** birthday cards around the time of my birthday (March 29)

I don't want to open an account for my son as he only just started to learn English, but if you have a card of one of the following you can send it to me as well:

*** skyscrapers and
*** sports cars and other expensive cars (especially American
and British manufacturers)

Please also write something about yourself on the card - things you like, what your plans are for the weekend, what you're doing for a living..... Or let me know what the weather is like where you live at the time of writing the card. Something else I'm interested in is what your area is famous for.

Admittedly, Germany is probably not the most interesting/exotic country, but if there's anything you ever wanted to know about Germany/the Germans, please ask and I'll try to answer when registering your card.

Something I'm really interested in is school in general and I have a specific question which I'd be very grateful if you were able to answer it: in your school system, are pupils marked for class participation? That is in addition to marks on written exams, do they get marks on how often they answer questions in class?

Thanks for picking a postcard and writing to me!

Happy Postcrossing!

Yvonne from Germany
