Hello! I'm Rochelle and I live in West Central Iowa in the Loess Hills. It's a beautiful place with so much flora and fauna. I am a former Spanish IV teacher and former PK-8 Principal. I am a wife and mom to two children. I am currently a department head of an education department at a nearby university. I love all things related to the outdoors and would consider myself somewhat of a hippie. My hobbies include cooking, gardening, traveling, reading, do-it-yourself projects, along with health and fitness. I love to take my kids on "adventures" during my summers off from work. I follow a vegan/plant-based (no dairy, meat, gluten or chocolate and minimally processed foods) lifestyle and love to try new foods.

I am a fan of: Harry Potter, Star Wars, Legally Blonde, The Big Bang Theory, iZombie, Green Day, Lady Gaga, Gwen Stefani, Disney, Breaking Bad, Bohemian Rhapsody, the tv show 911, The New England Patriots, the Nebraska Huskers, Stephen King, Kristin Hannah, Taylor Jenkins Reid, and John Grisham. I also love sloths, seahorses, octopi, frogs, and jellyfish.

My favorite places on earth is Telluride, Colorado; Glenwood Springs, Colorado; and Hilton Head, South Carolina.

I'm a big fan of sugar skulls, Halloween, Christmas, and Easter.

I've traveled to:
Washington, Oregon, Utah, California, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Nebraska, Montana, Wyoming, Minnesota, Missouri, South Dakota, Kansas, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Texas, South Carolina, Florida, Idaho, Washington D.C, Michigan and Massachusetts; Spain, Costa Rica (x3), Nicaragua, Grand Cayman, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic.

We are headed to Telluride, Colorado again this summer and have plans to go to Turks and Caicos this winter. Over spring break 2025, I hope to go to Houston, Nashville, New York City, Charleston, or Clearwater Beach.

I'd love to receive a postcard depicting the state or country where you reside. I love postcards that depict nature and/or have writing in one's native language. I also love recipe postcards. I would love it if you could include the date and temperature/weather of your location.
