About Riitta...
Hello everyone,
I´m a middle-aged woman and I live in a little countryside town in western Finland with my husband (who is as middle-aged as I am) and a cat and two dogs. We have two grown up children, who no-longer live at home. We love boating and fishing and hiking and going to theater and reading and seeing our friends and gardening and shopping in second hand shops - peaceful things so to say. I collect dolls and have made a few dolls by myself, they are replicas of old Finnish dolls. I also knit, crochet and do cross-stich works a lot. And I have to confess that I´m an Eurovision Song Contest fan (freak?).
I have always been interested in foreign languages but I´m afraid my skills are a bit rusty nowadays. Swedish, german and french are other languages I speak a little too - or at least I have studied them in my youth. Maybe you could write me a couple of sentences in your own language and translate it in English. Translation is not obligatory - it could be interesting to try to find it out somehow.
Definitely all kinds of cards are welcome but if you find a card of a doll or other toys, books or somehow literature related, it would be nice. Calvin and Hobbes is my favourite comic series. Is there Calvin and Hobbes cards? If you happen to have one you could send to me, I would appreciate it very much! And Peanuts are very wellcome too. I also like Christmas cards whether it is Christmas time or not. Cards that advertise some event are interesting too - drama, movies, exhibition, festival, opening a new shop, anything like that.
But after all few words are more important :) I have been looking postcards in postcrossing site and to my mind all the cards I have seen are ones I would like to receive.
I´m looking forward to getting a card every now and then…
Happy postcrossing!
PS. I would like to own a sheep or some sheep but it´s unlikely to come true - so how about a sheep card, if you have one, just a little hint too :)
