I am a teacher/writer/artist/Mom. I have been married to my music teacher husband for 35 years. We have lived in Wyoming, Oregon, Beijing and for the last 30 years, in the California/Oregon Border coast in the Redwoods. I have two sons who are both out of High School already and a lot of pets (parrots and Dogs and cats) and extended family. Now I also have a nearly 5 year old granddaughter and a grandson Who will be 3 soon, and his younger sister is six months old.

I loved having penpals as a child and found my best friend as a pen pal when I was a high school student taking German. She came to visit multiple times and now writes travel books about The USA in German

I love photography, painting and writing for children, and camping/hiking.

I published 4 novels and 3 picture books,
a fantasy about a 9 YO boy with Cerebral palsy; "Duffy Barkley is not a Dog" & "Duffy Barkley: Seek Well" and "Duffy Barkley: The Third Charm"
and a Journey on the Oregon Trail by 2 girls, 152 years apart called, "Double Time On The Oregon Trail"
a book about colors, and a child's lullaby, and a celebration of Redwoods

I write two blogs on blogspot, "Duffy Barkley's Mom" and "Echo's Voice" and I am on twitter as "DuffyBarkley"

I love the outdoors and getting out in nature but I only like big cities to visit, explore and then leave.

I love any kind of postcard but esp. those that compare historical/modern times. I also love to hear about your favorite books or music.
