Hello everyone! Happy New Year 2013! My name is Abran from the Los Angeles area in California, USA. I am 30 years old and speak 5 languages and have reading proficency in more than 20. I am a collector of stamps, postcards, traditional culture goods and rarities. I enjoy travelling as I have been to Ireland, Mexico, Hawai'i, Australia, Canada and this summer to Malaysia and Indonesia. This year marks my 16th anniversary in postcard collecting, so I'm honoured to enjoy the Postcrossing site for more cards to come :)
I listen to all kinds of music, mostly 50s to early 90s, house, trance, K-Pop, J-Pop, Spanish rock, music simulation game music and other upbeat stuff.
Favourite things are going to Los Angeles, Santa Monica (or coastal towns in general), trying different foods, dancing, photography, karaoke, linguistics, origami making, cooking, hats, purikura (Japanese photo booths), gastronomy, Kamen Rider, history, transit systems and many more.
I like different kinds of postcards, especially picturesque and unique images.

-Catholic churches/cathedrals
-religious figures/items (icons, rosaries, statues of saints, etc)
-map cards
-popular music artists from your country
(if any K-Pop artist is available, I'll enjoy one too of any girl groups like 2NE1, SNSD, BEG, Kara, etc; if from Japan, one from Perfume or anyone [like AKB48] would be great too.)
-Hello Kitty (from any part of the world)
-handmade/original (many have done a good job :D)
-Japanese themes (culture, city, Kit Kat, Hello Kitty, cuisine, language, tokusatsu/anime [like Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, etc.)
-gotochi cards
-Funny cards (can be in your language)
-Animals (if you're from Australia I'd love a platypus card! Everywhere else, a crane or other colourful animal but anything is welcome :D)
-Best tourist spots
-Football/soccer related
-Classical artists (Beethoven, Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart, etc.)
-mountains and snow scenes
-mailboxes
-royalty
-postcards made of wood or other unknown material

no ad cards please unless it's of something very creative and funny (the only exceptions)

I like direct swaps as well. I have no preference where I get them so all are welcome to send me :)
