Hello!
My name is Olga, I'm a biologist from Saint Petersburg, Russia, but about seven years ago I moved to Northern Germany, and used to live directly on the North Sea coast. Then I moved again to a small village between the North and Baltic seas. I don't like hot weather, so the climate here suits me perfectly and now I have a garden :) But I love travelling and recently I tend to visit hot tropical countries, somewhere in Africa or Central America. I enjoy such trips very much, as I learn about new cultures, meet amazing new people, of course, see a lot of local fauna and flora, and sometimes even learn a new language. I enjoy long walks in nature and usually have my binoculars with me to watch birds.
I will enjoy every received postcard, no matter what it shows!
I don't mind postcards in envelopes, especially if you have nice stamps to put on it, as I began to collect stamps as well (mostly with animals and plants) :)
But here's a reference list if you really have no idea what to send:
- I like birds and plants (especially rare ones) (if you send me a postcard with a jackdaw, I'd be extra happy :) also different invertebrate animals, well, anything to do with biodiversity
- Bumblebees and bees (I'm thinking about getting a couple of beehives)
- Welcome to the Museum postcards
- I like foreign languages and linguistics, would be really nice to receive a card on this topic (and I would appreciate a translation in English of the inscription on the card if I don't speak that language)
- Artificial intelligence and programming (I'm learning Python programming at the moment)
- Baseball, soccer, fencing (those are kind of sports that I've been doing for many years)
- Kayaks, sailboats (I often go kayaking with my husband and friends)
- Cards related to natural sciences
- Old soviet cartoons; Tom and Jerry, old Chip & Dale and Donald Duck
- Maps and book covers
- Recipes
- Maxicards
- Gardening (I just love to grow things :)
- Fashion
- Movies and TV series
- I don't mind AD cards, actually, I think that they can be much cooler than the regular "pay-cards". If you have AD cards and don't know what to do with them, I will be very happy to get those :)

If you are from Lithuania or Italy, please, write to me in your language. I don't have many opportunities here to practice Lithuanian and Italian, but I really love those languages and postcards enable me to use them more often ;)
