Am active on swaptree.com where you can trade books, movies (dvd's only), music cd's and games. Scrapbooking and ATC (artist trading cards) have piqued my interest as I've lots of photos and embellishments just waiting for a "home." Retired in 2009 but am currently feeling like I have too much time on my hands.
My first big love is my one and only 5 y.o. granddaughter, Asha. who is a very active, vocal, rascal of a girl who'd rather get down and dirty than dress up. I'm crazy for movies, predominantly drama, action and some fantasy. Absolutely holding my breath waiting for the final installment of the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, to open in theaters in the Fall of 2011. As for music I pretty much like everything with the exception of scatting (jazz that is sung) and chants.
Although I currently live in the southwestern part of the United States, I much prefer living near the ocean, having grown up on the East Coast (New York) and lived on the West Coast (California) for 20 yrs. In the past have also called Michigan, Texas, and Ohio my home. My travels have taken me to Mexico, Australia, and India.
Currently, I'm writing a soldier overseas and making him a postcard album of the U. S. For this I need blank p'cards from AK, AR, DE, ID, IL, ME, MS, MT, NE NM, ND, OK, RI, SC, SD, TN, VT, VA, and WV with a note of encouragement addressed to Dear Soldier or Dear Hero. Otherwise my preferences are wide open, but prefer ones that show where you live or of your country, as well as nostalgia. I especially love hummingbirds, too, if you come across any of those. Surprise me.
