Hello! My name is Monika, I am 51 years old and I live with my family (my husband and 2 sons, 19 and 21 ), my cat and 2 parakeets in Altmünster in Upper-Austria.
4 years ago I read about the idea of postcrossing in my daily newspaper, and now I must say, it was one of the best things I`ve ever read! I really love postcrossing! I love it to get a card and I love it just the same way to get a mail "Hurray, your card has arrived...".
These are the favourite postcards I would like to receive: city views ( by day or by night),
tourist attractions, famous places, four seasons,
lighthouses, castles, windmills, winter-scenery, foggy landscape, maps, Scandinavian motives ( for example red houses, northern lights,...), children, kittens, birds ( penguins, puffins, owls,...), reindeer and mooses, squirrels, hedgehogs, kangaroos, koalas, giraffes, meercat (=suricata ), Scottish Highland cattle, the pictures of Rolf Lidberg, Raija Nokkala and Lisi Martin,...and in December it would be very nice to get Christmas-cards.
If you are from United Kingdom, please send me a card with children ( primary school ) in school uniform, if possible!
But please do NOT send me ad-cards or self-made-cards! And I do not appreciate old views!
