About Michelle...

I have been collecting postcards since I was a young girl. My grandmother got me interested in them by sending me postcards whenever she took trips, be they local or further afield. I even send myself postcards from my own vacations I enjoy them so much :)

I enjoy a variety of stamps if possible

Recently my young grandchildren McKenna (9) and Michael (6.5) have become fans of Postcrossing. We all love seeing the great postcards and the lovely stamps, as well as learning new things too.

We have no specific preference for the types of postcards sent, we like surprises. But here are a few suggestions:

We enjoy learning new things, so a postcard that can teach us about where you are from would be great
Phineas and Ferb /Rick and Morty/Fairly Odd Parents/Winnie The Pooh/or Pretty much any cartoon character
Foxes /squirrels/chipmunks/raccoons/skunks
Snowmen or snow and ice sculptures
The singers: Prince, George Michael/WHAM and Justin Timberlake or other popular artists from the 80's
Cats/kittens/dogs/puppies
I've recently become an avid birder so any bird postcard is greatly appreciated (IG: whatisee_andlike if you want to see my photos)
Unicorns / Fairies / Dragons
Most animals really, but if you have a dinosaur or shark that would be great
I love lilacs, pansies, roses and snapdragons
Batman, Spiderman or other DC /Marvel characters
Beach scenes
Ballerina or other dancers
Lightning McQueen /Race cars /monster trucks/construction vehicles
Twilight - The Stephanie Meyer series
Holiday cards - especially Halloween and Christmas,(and we don't mind if they are sent out of season) but also holidays that might not be celebrated worldwide
Shaped cards would be fun
We also like postcards made from food packaging to see what kinds of things are eaten in other countries
Our favourite colours are purple, teal and blue

** Please no ad cards **

Examples of topics to write about (but tell us whatever is on your mind!)
What’s your favourite food?
What you can see when you look out of your window?
What is your favourite song or singer/band right now?
Quote of the day/your favourite quote or poem
Or something funny that happened to you today.

If there is a text written in characters other than English alphabet letters (ie Cyrillic/Chinese/Japanese/Arabic etc.) on the card, could you please translate it into English for us? Could you also put the date on the postcard -- Thanks.

Expired cards? Too many - Sadly. But I don't register a card unless I receive it.

We are big fans of stickers/washi tape and enjoy decorating the cards we send out, so if you have any stickers/washi tapes to put on we would enjoy those too.

P.S.
This is a periodic reminder that Postcrossing is about connecting, not collecting. It’s about embracing serendipity! Feel free to use profiles as inspiration, but please know you can send any postcard you’d like or have available. Happy Postcrossing!
