First of all I'd like to say that I love, love, love my Postcrossing Family:"sent and received" all over the world!
I live in Southwestern Finland with my husband and the little tortoise named Mr. Caligula. Hmm. It's not difficult for you to imagine who is getting better care, better food, better hugs...(laugh) Our daughter has already flown out of the nest. In our garden there are living lots of rabbits, squirrels, hedgehogs and birds. In summer the garden is my world and the object of photographing.
I do love postcards! I truly like to send,receive,buy,collect or look at them.
Mainly I'm collecting art postcards with children; a Child in Art and Still Lifes with Flowers, Fruits, Berries or Vegetables.
Other lovely themes are gardens,harvest,nature, angels,decorated Easter Eggs, vintage Christmas or Christmas baking.One new and great wish is cards of "Earth from Above" by Yann Arthus-Bertrand.
Also postcards by Elsa Beskow,Carl Larsson,Marjolein Bastin,Lisi Martin and C.M.Barker are my favorites.
I am dreaming that some day I´ll write stories about the postcards I've received. Up to now I have received more than 2000 official postcards but not started my writing yet. Well,well it seems to be a real DREAM!
I am an emotional person and aesthete.
I enjoy reading and writing poems,skiing,cycling,Nordic walking,hiking,traveling, studying Japanese...
