About Ulla-Maija...
I'm a teacher of languages (English & Italian), mother of an 14-year-old boy. I was born in Lapland, but moved to the south of Finland after getting married.
I love travelling (especially Italy and Japan), music (Cecilia Bartoli, Verdi, Puccini), literature (classics mainly), arts (Renaissance masterpieces)and sports (athletics and ice-hockey). And foreign languages, of course. I started learning the basics of the 13th language last year - that's Japanese!
I also collect proverbs from different countries and I'd be very happy to hear what's your motto in life. Mine is: when you forget what you can't change, you'll be happy!
It would also be very interesting to hear one good reason why I should come and visit your country.
One more request: please tell me what is your favourite word in your native language!
Moreover, I'm very much into collecting stamps and if you happen to share the same interest, I'd be delighted to exchange Finnish stamps with you. My goal is to find at least one stamp of each country in the world.
EASTER CARDS (and Christmas cards later on)more than welcome!
