Hi! My name is Lisa and I'm from Boise, Idaho. 📮 I work as a registered nurse at a local hospital. I was in the Navy when I was younger and worked as a crane operator on a submarine drydock and after that, in a Naval hospital in San Diego; it was a wonderful experience!

I've always been a "mail junky"... sending away for obscure free stuff when I was a kid just so I could get the mail and the stamp! I still love beautiful stamps on letters. Sometimes when I can't match a postcard to the person I can at least try to attach stamps that match the Postcrosser's profile. I get a small sense of victory when that happens :)

I like beautiful paper, origami, crafts, fabric, and quilting (although, I never have time to actually cut into my fabric--I hoard it). I like to dabble in everything; I tell my husband that my craft room should be written in my last will and to have someone who knows crafts go through my things... I'm sure he isn't aware of the $$ spent on fabric :)
When I'm not inside, I like to garden (read: pull weeds), geocache (username is lisaclown), ride my bicycle, go fishing, be outdoors or swim. Instead of learning how to keep honeybees, I've started Mason bee habitats. My cherry tree quadrupled the number of cherries on it last spring because of the amount of Mason bees pollinating it, and, they very likely won't sting (they have stingers... but I think you would have to provoke them for a sting to happen).

For postcard ideas...
I have a good sense of humor; I love animals (we have 2 pugs as pets and we just brought home a little farm kitten who wanted to be a house cat), nature, history, reading, libraries, deserted mansions, castles, ghost towns, beautiful architecture, villages, Victorian homes, mailboxes, stamps, art, cute illustrations, science, space, crafts, oceans, islands, clouds, weather, fungi, and all things BRITISH!
