About Lisa...

I'm a 45 year old woman living in a small South Carolina town with my husband and our two kids, one almost grown and one in elementary school. I'm interested in Postcrossing because I love to get fun mail.

In my free time, I enjoy taking photographs and reading. I like hiking with my family--I love beautiful and unusual places outdoors. At work, I'm a poet and an English professor. But please don't worry about your grammar when you write me--I only grade papers! :)

Things I love--and would love to get postcards featuring:

** art: ancient, modern, classical, folk art, photography, all kinds of art

** world religions: especially Madonnas, goddesses, Buddhas, mythology, Indian religious art

** any kind of museum postcards

** science: archaeology, paleontology, cultural artifacts, astronomy, natural history prints like Audubon, old science woodcut illustrations from books, old and new maps

** anything to do with books and authors

** Star Trek: all ST, but especially TNG and DS

** travel postcards: state and national parks, cities, funky touristy postcards

** UNESCO World Heritage Sites

** Halloween!!!! I'd be thrilled to get a Halloween card ANY time of year!!

I love to get a postcard with lots of writing. Please tell me something about yourself or the customs of your home, or if you're a bookworm like me, what you like to read or lines from a poet you love.

Please send postcards directly through the mail, NOT in envelopes. The stamps and postmarks are cool. :)
