About Kerstin...

Dear postcrossers all over the world!

I'm Kerstin and a librarian. I work at the Mannheim University which is located in a beautiful Baroque Palace.

I'm afraid of flying and that's why it's difficult for me to visit other continents.
Writing postcards with people all over the world is like a kind of replacement for that. I love it.

Although I will not get to know a large part of our beautiful world in person I don't necessarily want to get tourist cards. If I'm interested in a country, a beautiful city or area, I buy books or look on Internet.
Anyway I'm also glad to receive tourist cards with nice explanations from the senders about their homeland.

I really will be happy about each kind of postcards but if you need some inspiration

among other things I like

❤ glitter, ❤ Japanese-, Chinese-, Asian culture and art,
❤ calligraphy, ❤ old oil paintings (mostly those with figures), ❤ national/traditional costumes, ❤ folk art, ❤ old / antique / vintage / retro postcards, ❤ shaped postcards, ❤ Manga ❤ jetoy cats, ❤ Kitch of any and all kinds. ❤ Collages, ❤ dolls, ❤ lost places, ✈️ airplanes, helicopters (civil aviation themes)

and ...

weird or scary cards which you find extremely ugly for whatever reason.
Why don't you like the card? Maybe I like it ...

I also would be happy to receive cards cutted out of a packaging which is in your home right now.
It works ... :)

I love 💚stickers and 💚washi tapes and I would be very happy to receive 💚Gotochi cards (I am especially interested in Japanese culture)

It could be an idea to share some quote with me. My most favorite quote is

*** You're never fully dressed without a smile :-) ***

What's the best present you've ever received?
What was the last thing that made you smile?

I'm excited to receive your mail on paper :) 💌
