About Hope...

Hello all:) I am Postcrossing with my 5-year-old daughter Hope (I am the dad;).

I work in the aviation industry and love civil planes, maps, charts and food! She goes to a wonderful school and loves playing with her friends, skiing, singing, dancing, playing piano, swimming, drawing, playing Lego and of course smiling:D

Could you please write something to tell us what your favorite local food is? Or a special cultural practice (a special festival celebration etc) that you do? Or maybe an old saying or idiom of your language? Your dream? Something special about your town/city/country? Your most precious memory? Your most unforgeable experience? Or just anything funny! - no pressure though, we would love to see any stamps and postcards including blank ones!!;)

It would be very nice to receive a Postcard that can be used as a story/education opportunity for my daughter. Maybe about some historical places, your local landmark, native plants or animals and so on - again, no pressure, we would really appreciate absolutely anything.;)

(please, if possible, no ad cards - except those ones issued by Airlines/Train companies/shipping-lines or transportation related; no hand made cards - except completely hand-drawn, hand-painted or patched up with fabric)

Postcards I would really love to receive:

# aircraft/trains/ships(especially civil aircraft - new or old)
# airports/ports/train stations
# transportation or Post related
# cute cartoon cards
# black and white
# horses

I believe Postcrossing is NOT about just collecting postcards. It's about US, people. It should be about exchanging smiles; building bridges across different cultures and maybe even sharing little stories about your hometown, home country or even yourself. It should be all about caring, love and it should showcase sincerity between two random people living far apart on the same planet.

It's really sad that nowadays people have stopped writing letters and sending them (I mean real ones!).

We must keep the Post Offices running!

Many, many thanks and best wises to you all. ;)
