** October is my birthday month. I'd LOVE a birthday postcard! ** AND, i'd love a Halloween or Dia de la Muertos postcard too! **

I am happily married (wedding was on 7/7/7!) and have a little beagle named Dottie. I've been living in Southern California for the past 5 years, but lived in the San Francisco bay area for 5 years, and was born and raised in Hawaii. I am an Asian American and I love traveling and love all types of cultures and food. I love baking, cooking, and eating! i love bugs, plants, and animals. and, i have a pet tarantula named piggie. :) I love VAMPIRES (True Blood, Twilight, Nosferatu, Dracula, etc)! i love everything TEA (tea pots, tea cups, hot tea, iced tea, with milk and sugar, and with lemon and honey)!

and just to explain my user name: hippofairy... if a hippo had a fairy godmother what would she look like? a manatee! i think manatees are beautiful. and i love hippos so what could be a better name?

POSTCARDS: Please send them stamped, dated, and written on. PLEASE do not cover up the description of the postcard on the back with a sticker or address label. i like to read that little bit of information... if you are adding the stickers or labels, please put it below the text. THANKS!

i prefer store-bought cards (but love hand-drawn and hand-painted cards too), and especially like to get postcards of TEA, VAMPIRES, FOOD, recipes, beautiful view cards, celebrities/famous people (presidents, actors, actresses, musicians, queens/kings/princesses/princes), postal themed (like mailboxes, stamps, mailmen, delivery trucks), real animals (especially bugs), MOOMINs, story/legends, flags, landmarks, BIG letters that spell out the name of the place and have pictures in them, maps, transportation (like airplanes, airports, ships, cruiseships, seaports, trains, train staions), 3D, and license plates. i'd love to get some view cards or map cards from your area/country with a short message about it. also, i'd like a postcard celebrating a holiday (like Christmas, New Year's Day, Halloween, etc.) :) anything whimsical or quirky would be fun too! and handsome men, too. :)

Please DO NOT send me advertising cards or folded notecards, if possible.

i've also add many of the postcards i've received to my wall, so if you have a moment, please look at it to see if you have something different to add to my collection. :) i also have added many things to my favorites if you need inspiration.
