About Bridget...

I am over half a century old but still very much young at heart. Still single and have no regrets. Have a great family and lots of nieces and nephews, not forgetting good friends everywhere. I still keep in touch with my buddies from school!

I enjoy reading and never leave home without a book in hand. I love a good mystery that keeps me hanging on till the end. "Whodunits" are my favourite. I also love riding the trails in the wild wild west with Buffalo Bill, Annie Oakley and so many others. I do read romance novels and my fave authors are Diana Palmer and Lynne Graham (strong big silent heroes and feisty heroines).

I had penpals in my school days and still keep in touch (try to) with Miyoko(Japan) & Susan (NZ)! There is no better way to keep in touch than with a letter or even a postcard. When I cam across Postcard Crossings in a local newspaper in early Jan 2009, I was so eager to log in. What a great way to make friends and collect postcards.

I am a collector of almost anything - stamps, postcards, books, crafts stuff, - actually I am a hoarder. I can't throw things as almost everything has sentimental value or reusable.

I am trying to do my part in saving Mother Earth. I recycle and tell people about it. I avoid taking plastic bags from the stores by bringing my own bags. I try to recycle as much as I can e.g. plastic lids as coasters, chipped mugs as plant pots, bath water, etc.

I love Elvis, Sha Na Na, Roll & Roll music, oldies, Disney, old movies (from the 60s - Doris Day,Rock Hudson,Cary Grant), musicals. I watched the movie GREASE for countless times and still enjoy it each time. I am into photography, castles, ships(those old ones with sails),crafts, word/number games, Peanuts(Snoopy, Charlie Brown), LAT (Malaysian cartoonist). My favourite cartoons are Peanuts, Baby Blues, Dennis the Menace, Cavin & Hobbes, just to name a few. I love the beach and sea too. I love dogs but no cats for me! My favoruite TV series are comedies, music-related, Amazing Race, MacGyver, NCIS, Criminal Minds and those of similar nature.

Being borned in the lunar year of the Pig, I love to collect anything on pigs.

I welcome postcards of all sorts (not the ad ones unless they are interesting and no self-portraits and nudes please, even if it is called art or professionally done).

Expired cards - yes quite a few but I stopped wondering what happened to them, hence no details listed. Just happy to know that my cards are appreciated by someone even though he/she may not be the actual recipient.
