I have always been fond of writing and receiving post cards. It started when my sisters and I were in collage in different states in early 1980's and continued. I recently sent a post card to a friend a mile away and he said it was the first post card he ever received. I thought that sad, he is 55 years old
I have a collection of old 1920's and 1930's California post cards. The ones with images of orange trees with snow capped mountains in the back round have a charm that is really beautiful. We call these vintage post cards.
I like post cards depicting the area or country you live in. I like post cards that depict the history of the region, agriculture, trains or marine history. I also like what my father would call a "pretty Picture Postcard". I am always happy to receive a post card that represents your unique region. An interesting stamps makes it even better.
