About David...

I am married and twice retired. First from the U.S. Army in 1988 after 20 years of service as an inventory specialist and then from the City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 2007 after 18 years of working in procurement. Currently I work part time in the procurement field and do some teaching on the subject. I also volunteer once a week at the library from which my wife, Beverly, recently retired.

I lived in Germany for 10 years while in the military in the following locations. Stuttgart, 1971-74; Munchen, 1976-79; Mannheim, 1982-84; Darmstadt, 1984-85; Nurnberg, 1985-87. I have also traveled extensively in Europe and the USA.

My hobbies include golf, reading (mostly mysteries) and travel. I also enjoy cooking and photography and I am hopelessly addicted to Sudoku puzzles. My wife and I also love to dance.

I think Postcrossings is a very fascinating way to make the world a little smaller. I would like to receive postcards with scenes of cities/villages/countryside and/or the people of those areas. However, if you happen to find a postcard with a rhinoceros or a sailboat on it, feel free to send that. You will make my day.
