Hello, my name is Mary, I am 26! As for me, it is very interesting to receive postcards from different countries, we get a piece of their culture in a such way. What about me, i like history, geography. I am fond of reading books. I enjoy traveling and cognizing something new=) I like to watch movies. My favourite are films about lawyers, ancient times (especially 19-20th century).

I am from Ukraine and live in Rivne city. The medieval state of Kievan Rus was established in the 9th century, so Ukraine has a great history! Kiev is its capital. There are the Carpathian and the Crimean Mountains, the Dnieper river etc. The dominant religion in Ukraine is Orthodox Christianity. Our currency is called hryvnia (UAH). We have well-known poets: Taras Shevchenko, Ivan Franko, Lesya Ukrainka. Ukraine is often assoсiated with guelder rose (kalina), wheat, stork, pysanky (the Easter eggs), Cossack. National dishes are: borsch (beet soup), varenyky (dumplings), karavai (loaf), pampushky (donuts), golubzi (stuffed). During national celebrations people dress vyshyvanka (embroidery) and vinok (wreath).

I'd like to get postcards with:
- photos of the city or coutry, where you live (attractions, castles, beautiful buildings, nature, retro photos)
- national symbols, clothes, dishes
- famous or historical people of your country
- art
- something extraordinary.
Please don't send me cards with flowers, cats, dogs, greeting or hand-made cards.
