About Doug...
Hi, my name is Doug. My wife Robyn and I have just celebrated our 20th Anniversary (feels more like 20 weeks) and we have a 13 year old daughter, Rebecca, who closed out the 7th Grade with straight A's :-D
We live in Livermore, California which is about 50 miles/70km southeast of San Francisco, known locally as "The City".
Livermore is Wine Country and is the oldest in California.
We have about 60 wineries now operating and making some really excellent wine. They are now focusing on making very complex wines in small lots to really enhance the characteristics of the wine.
And I have to say, it works.
Every year, on the first weekend in May, they shut down Main Street for "The Days of Wine and Honey" street festival and all of the wineries are there to sample, as well as arts and crafts, good food, and good people.
Life is good in Livermore.
We love to get out and hike in our local hills and are Geocaching Team WeBeFour.
We discovered Postcrossing, joined, and have had a great time with all of our postcrossings.
We made a friend in Moldava, Alla (aka sussie), who delighted us with a wine cask from her country. It has taken a place of honor on our fireplace mantle.
As for our preferences, at the heart of it, if it looks good to you, it will probably look good to us too. However, if you have the ability, we would love...

But if you can't find these, don't worry. We will love to receive any card you choose to send.
And please, no postcards that have been obviously Photoshoped.
Also, we like the look of the stamp and postmark actually on the card so don't worry about placing it in an envelope.
As to the postcards we send, I Thank Postcrossing for my second career.
You see, in the real world I am a technician who works on laser printing systems.
On the side I now own and operate "You Are Here" Postcard Photography and have a grand total of four accounts.
Hey. It's a start.
So the postcards you receive from us are, for the most part, ours.
Here's a tip.
Look at them in direct sunlight to really make the colors "Pop".
Best Wishes and may all of your cards reach their destination !!!
Doug, Robyn,
and Rebecca
p.s. Our post office uses a white strip with a bar code printed on it to help move the mail. If you get one of these across the front of the card, fear not. They are easy to peel off and do not damage the card.
