I've just received my mailer's postmark permit! Now I can cancel the stamps properly instead of letting the Postal Service put their illegible inkjet cancellation on the cards.

I have been collecting postcards for some time; I seem to have inherited the hobby from my great-grandfather and still have his original collection. You can see his cards and some of my other cards at my website; I have posted perhaps 10% of my collection thus far.

I prefer standard-sized (about 3-1/2 by 5 inch) postcards, but those are often hard to come by nowadays. Continental-sized cards (about 4 by 6 inches) are great too, but I would prefer if you didn't send cards any bigger than that.

The subject matter is up to you! Of course, it's hard to go wrong with postcards featuring pretty girls. Not a requirement, just a suggestion. :) Other cards that pique my interest are vintage cards (originals and reproductions) and anything related to mail itself.

I'm grateful for the thought and the effort. Unwritten in an envelope, or written and stamped -- whichever floats your boat.

I also play several musical instruments, poorly; I have a wife, two daughters and two grandsons; I have a library of books that rivals my collection of postcards in terms of numbers, but is not nearly as easy to store.
