About Ola...

I'm 34, live in Krakow, a beautiful city which used to be Poland's capital a long time ago, I like sci-fi books and TV series, writing letters to my penpals and the sea :) I'm also a big fan of the LotR trilogy (books, not movies).

I am very happy about the idea of receiving postcards from around the world - if you are going to send me one, please choose a card that will show me a bit of the area where you live :)

Postcrossing for me is a way to travel and to see the world, all those places I might never visit.

So please, send me a card from your country, not some other one. Treat me as a tourist visiting your area, your city, your country.

The best thing for me is when the view on the card, the stamp and the ID are a match - i.e. all from the same country. If I send viewcards, I send Polish ones from Poland. Please do the same for me :)

My favourite topics of the cards are:

- nature/landscape scenic views - oceans, seas, lakes, beaches, waterfalls, rivers, forests, meadows, mountains, native flora and fauna - this is my greatest wish :)
- cities, famous buildings, historical sites, architecture
- customs and folklore

My special wishes - I know they are hard to get but a girl can dream, can't she? :)

- Edwin van der Sar/Netherlands' national football team
- astronomy and space exploration related (I have an MSci in astronomy)
- Babylon 5/Star Wars/Star Trek/Doctor Who/Stargate/The X-Files/Lord of the Rings
- Irish or Scottish dancing (soft shoes, hard shoes, SCD, Highland - I've been learning them for years!)
- fantasy illustrations (a new one - let's see what comes out of it)

Liebe Postcrosser aus Deutschland - falls ihr die Postkarten aus den Harenberg-Kalendern habt, die deutsche Ansichten zeigen, bitte sucht nicht weiter nach einer Karte für mich! Ich liebe diese und habe bisher nicht sehr viele bekommen :)

I also appreciate nice/commemorative stamps on postcards :D

Just please, do not send me any Touchnote cards, or cards from similar online services.

Wenn Du Deutsch sprichst, bitte schreib auf Deutsch! Ich benutze die Sprache täglich in meiner Arbeit :)

Si hablas castellano, puedes escribir tu postal también en ese idioma.

You could also try simple French or Russian - I have studied both languages but it's been a while. Still, I would like to try. I read and write in Cyrillic alphabet.
