About Jess...

I'm a 27-year old girl from Seattle, Washington, USA. I used to live in Japan, in Tokyo and Fukuoka. I work in book publishing doing public relations and marketing but have a lot of side projects, too! I love books, reading, writing, drawing, and fiber arts (knitting, sewing, etc.) My profile picture is my cat, Emma, after a bath! I have another cat, Pie, who is a Cornish Rex calico girl and looks like Emma's little sister (even though they aren't really related!)

You can look at my "favourites" on my postcard wall to get an idea of what kind of postcards I like! Please send your postcard stamped with no envelope (unless it is very delicate or handmade).

I especially like postcards of:

-Animals- especially cats! (I love the "stray cat" photo postcards!)
-Black and white photos or old photographs
-Houses and restaurants
-Art from your country (drawings, paintings, photography, sculpture)
-Fashion or local clothing
-Food and cooking
-Vintage reproduction cards of art or old advertisements from your country
-Crafts (knitting, sewing, quilting)
-Scooters! (I love Vespas, especially!)
-Books or literature
-Retro and kitschy postcards
-Anything colorful and bright, or handmade!

Really, I love any kind of postcard that is unusual, quirky or unique... not just your normal tourist postcard. I would also love to hear your recommendations for music, books, art, or food (recipes). If you'd like, please share your favorites with me! Original art is always welcome, too.
