About Ramon...

ECUATORIANA ! LOST, BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN !

Hi, everybody in Postcrossing! I hope that we all are having a very good time sending and receiving postcards. Our mail boxes should not be empty anymore. Only bills and advertisement is not a heart filling mail box.

I welcome post cards from all over the world hoping that the random system of Postcrossing make us happier selecting us in sending and receiving postcards from / to the most distant and unknown places of this small ball called the earth.

Talking about distant and unknown places, Ecuador may be one of those mysterous and distant places of the world.

I live in Guayaquil, the largest city of Ecuador. It is located 60 miles (90 kms.) east from the nearest beach. Guayaquil is a Pacific Ocean international seaport, and also it has an International Airport. Ecuador is a small country but it is full of beautiful people and beautiful places. The people is peaceful, and kind. We are located right on the Equator Line, on the west coast of South America, on the Pacific Ocean. This small country has all the different weathers that you may find on earth. Due to it is located right on the geographic Equator Line you may think that the climate in Ecuador is always extremely hot. This is not so. In Ecuador you have all the climates on earth all in one day. It has lands from the sea level up to 7000 mts. (21,000 feet) of altitude. Ecuador has the sea level weather, to the tropical, sub-tropical and the high mountains cold weather and snow. We also have the amazonic basin weather. And finally, we have the fameous Galapagos Islands. Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter, all within the same day. As we are south from the Equator line, we enter in spring season on September 21st.

I do not have special preferences for any determined postcard types. Anytype and image will be great, specially if are full of sense and realism as city views, landscaping, people, mountains, sea, everything. Any nice comments will be very much appreciated.

One only serious request : PLEASE DO NOT SEND POST CARDS INSIDE ENVELOPES. JUST SEND THE CARD WITH NICE STAMPS ON, -MORE THAT ONE OR TWO IF POSSIBLE-.

Enjoy Postcrossing for ever.

Raymond.
