I'm Carol =) To anyone stumbling across my profile, I welcome direct swaps from any country. Just send me an email!

I'm 19 years old and a student at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. I'll probably major in History, English, and Art History, with a minor in European Studies. I come from Chicago, IL and spend my summers there. I'm Chinese and my family is from Taiwan, where the cities are busy and the food is excellent =)

When I'm not reading for class, I'm reading historical fiction- my favorites are set in Europe, particularly England.

I like to play the piano and would welcome any suggestions for pieces. My favorite music includes classical, pop, and soundtracks. I watch lots of movies and I love musicals like Phantom of the Opera, romances like Pride and Prejudice, and romantic comedies. If I had oodles of money I'd go see more Broadway musicals, stock up my personal library, and travel the world.

My favorite postcards are ones depicting famous historical sites and scenic views of your country or area. I love postcards with dramatic colors like at sunset, or foggy and ghostly. I especially like panoramic postcards (the long ones). Check out my favorites in the postcard gallery!

I also really like cards of:
-art and architecture (especially Medieval, Baroque, and Romantic)
-churches/cathedrals/religious places
-famous sights or buildings

-regional culture
-all sorts of movies
-food (yum!)
-the sea/coast

-extra credit: any postcard related to Jane Austen or William Shakespeare
