About Gail...

I live in Lubbock, a city in the western part of Texas. I have traveled to many different countries in the world, such as: Spain, Mexico, Martinique (a French island in the Caribbean), Morocco, Iceland, South Korea and the Azores Islands of Portugal. In March, 2017, my son spent his Spring Break in Ireland, Scotland and England.

I'm one of the few Postcrossers who actually likes ad cards, especially if they are pretty or funny. I like handmade cards IF they are made with care and passion, even if this takes more time. I prefer single view cards, as it is harder to see small images on multi-view cards.

After I receive a card, I scan it and put it on all my social media (Flickr, Pinterest, Twitter, and sometimes Instagram). If you do not want me to share your card on social media, please let me know so I won't post it there.

I like fun facts, history and current events. However, feel free to write about whatever you want. If you would rather not write much, I am okay with that as well. I like nice or interesting postage stamps as well as washi tape and/or stickers. If it is not more expensive, could you please send the card in an envelope so it will be easier for me to remove the postage stamps. Before Postcrossing came into my life, I never thought about postage stamps. Now I collect them.

As for suggestions, here are some themes I suggest for sending cards to me, based on the months of the year:

January and February: Anything tropical (surfing, beaches, flamingos, palm trees, etc.) or Valentine's Day/Romance

March and April: Easter/Spring, Cats, Fashion (from any era) or Dolls

May and June: Anything Blue, Flowers/Gardens or Farm Animals (especially cows)

July and August: Anything related to Art or Artists or Music (Instruments or Musical Performers)

September/October: Halloween/Autumn, Movies/Television or Any Celebrity. Birthday cards are appreciated in September.

November/December: Christmas, Winter, other holidays at this time or anything old fashioned/Retro.

If you have a card that you want to send but it is for a different time of the year, feel free to send it.

Looking forward to hearing from you -
