About Basora...

Hello, "Apa Kabar",
I live in the South part of Jakarta the Capital City of Indonesia. Jakarta is one of the major city in Java Island among other big cities like Bandung, Semarang, Yogyakarta and Surabaya.

Indonesia has more than 17.500 islands with few major islands like Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan (Borneo), Sulawesi (Celebes), Maluku and Papua.
Indonesia has a population of more than 200.000.000 people with 1128 ethnics live in 33 provinces.

There are many beautiful places to visit like Lake Toba in Sumatra, Tanah Toraja in Sulawesi, or see the "one horn" Javanese Rhino (rhinoceros sandaicus) in Ujung Kulon National Park. Visit the Borobudur Temple one of the Unesco WHS in Yogyakarta, or see the famous Komodo (varanus komodoensis) well-known as the largest lizard in the world. Or even go and climb one of the seven summit mountains in the world, Jayakesuma peak (Carstenzs Pyramide) 4884 meters above sea level in the snowy mountains of Jayawijaya,Papua. A journey to the hinterlands of Kalimantan Island and of course you must see the exotic Bali Island.

You can also see those beautiful places in many Indonesian Stamps,
send me a message and we can exchange stamps or postcards from both sides.

I collect stamps worldwide, especially mint stamps in complete sets. Also postcards and covers with nice stamps on it but no FDC's. Thanks for the great idea of Postcrossing !
I also collect classic mint/used stamps and covers, especially from the British Colonies, Dutch East Indies and the Japanese Occupation period in Indonesia.

I like postcrossing because I enjoy the feeling of being in touch with people around the world.
I welcome every postcard, but I would very much enjoy postcards with these following themes,

- World Heritage Sites/UNESCO
- Bridges
- Buildings
- Maps
- Old timer Cars
- Specific Landmarks of where you live
- Birds
- Butterflies

Please send me a postcard with stamps on it, not a blank postcard in an envelope.
Write me something about your country, your city, or even about yourself and maybe one or two words in your native language.

Regards,
