About Barbara...

Hi fellow postcrossers!

I have lived in Nassau, Bahamas for almost 30 years, but am originally from New York State, just north of New York City. My original, and continuing, postcard passions are collecting vintage Bahamian and New York State postcards. I also enjoy collecting current, modern postcards and am so happy I discovered Postcrossing! Below I’ve listed my favorite categories, but first a few words about cards that I would rather not receive, so here goes: please, no multi-view, no advertising, no homemade, and no “adult”. Now that that’s out of the way, here is a short list of the kinds of cards I would love to receive:

*Autumn views
*New York State: anyplace in The Empire State
*Illustrated maps
*Large letter
*Marinas/boats at anchor/harbours with boats
*Recipes, especially dessert
*Cats or kittens
*Pop music icons of the 1950's-1970's(Elvis,The Beatles, etc)

I also like touristy cards, especially if the name of the place is on the front of the card, and city/town views.

I do read the profile of each person I send a card to and try very hard to send a card they will like.

Thanks for reading all of this and thanks for being a fellow postcrosser! I look forward to receiving your card.
Peace from Barbara in The Bahamas
