My name is Samira and I'm a teacher from Dresden in Germany. I love to learn anything about other cultures. My hobbies include: Reading, languages, hiking, singing and making music (I'm playing different instruments) and a lot of other things XD

If you send me a postcard, I would love to receive one with a picture of the most beautiful place/the most impressiv phenomenon you know. Please tell me, why you've choosen this card und what the photo means to you. I'm interessted in what is typical for you country. Never mind if it's food, literature, lifestyle, ... everything cultural is great :D

For all those who wanna be a bit creative: Some years ago I visited Ireland and I promised my husband to bring back a sheep for him. Of course that wasn't possible. So I planed something else: I wrote him a postcard from "Freddy" (The name of the sheep) in wich he explained, that he wasn't allowed to fly to germany. But Freddy is a very curious sheep and so he decided to travel the world. And at this point you can help me: If you can find a postcard with a sheep, send it to me and write a Postcard "From Freddy" to "Christian". Please write something about the adventerus of Freddy and what he is actually doing in your homecountry.
Please remember: Freddy is an irish sheep, so he starts his cards always with "Dia Duit".
UPDATE: A nice postcrosser told me that Freddy found a girlfriend called Irma in Finland! I'm so happy for them :) What'll these two sheep are going to do next?
UPDATE NOV 21: Freddy visited already soooo many countries! It's great and I can't wait for his next postcard ;) A postcrosser from Chicago told me, that Freddy is Jewish (non practicing).
UPDATE NOV 22: Sadly, Irma wanted to stay in Finland together with their lambs. So Freddy is now travelling alone through the world. But I'm sure he'll make a lot of new friends! :)
UPDATE AUG 23: I receive a lot of messages from Freddy. I'm really amazed! It's wonderful how many postcrossers are a part of his adventures. <3 Today I read that Freddy stayed in California for a while and tried red wine. He loves Old Vine Zinfandels! :D
UPDATE JAN 24: I received Freddys first card of this year! Freddy now has his first penpal - Gregina the cow. XD
UPDATE APR 24: Freddy visited Japan for the first time. He was almost eaten, because there is a very popular dish with grilled mutton, called "Jingiskan". But glady he survived due to his cuteness. <3 Furthermore, he bought a nice place to stay in the countryside of Ohio. I hope, Irma is going to like it!
