Hello everybody,

I work us a chemistry teacher in Äänekosken lukio. At the moment I'm using my own profile for our school project, so that we can send and receive more cards.

this is our school project. We study at the upper secondary school in Äänekoski. There are about 330 students in our school. There are about 20 teachers, a tutor helping us with studying, a public-health nurse and a student counsellor in our school and they are all helpful to the students who want to extend their knowledge. Together we students and the other staff of our school create an atmosphere that´s friendly and a stimulating environment for learning.

Äänekoski is a small industrial city. We have a lot of forest industry in our area, like a bioproduct mill and a paper board mill. The bioproduct mill has a new visitors' center. We're going to visit it soon.

Our goal is to learn about bioeconomy around the world by sending and receiving postcards. The bioeconomy comprises those parts of the economy that use renewable biological resources from land and sea – such as crops, forests, fish, animals and micro-organisms – to produce food, materials and energy.
