About Krystian...

Hi there!

I'm Krys and I'm an avid collector of banknotes, coins, stamps, phone cards, red Marlboro boxes from different countries and recently, after having received some postcards from my friends traveling here and there, I completely went crazy about hanging postcards from all over the world on the beams of my living room. Postcrossing is a fabulous concept and I'm glad I found this community! Sending postcards isn't popular anymore since people got used to e-mails, so let's keep this custom alive!

I'm interested in automobiles, aviation, architecture, History and Geography, old propaganda-themed posters, "daily use antiquities" (e.g. 1950's coca-cola bottles, old electronics,...), public transportation tickets, magnetic stripe cards (e.g. hotel key cards or any other plastic card), learning languages (I already know French, Dutch, German, English, Polish, some Russian and I recently began to learn Hebrew, just for fun),and many more things. TO HEBREW SPEAKERS: please write in capital letters and try to translate, because I still have to "decode" the alefbet, since I'm a beginner. Rav todot ;)

If you live out of the € zone, could you please put a little banknote extra along with the postcard? It would be fantastic because collecting banknotes is my biggest passion, as stated before :) Even the smallest bills would be great, so no one blames me for extortion though :)
Bus/tramway tickets,
priority/airmail labels,
magnetic stripe cards would be cool too ;)

I have a favorites list that shows my preference for
- CITY SKYLINES and SKYSCRAPERS - absolute fav! :)
- US "Greetings from"-type;
- something funny, absurd, cliché or ironic of your home country (e.g. Na Nachs' trance vans in Israel, Police Trabant from Berlin, ...);
- typical touristic postcards showing nice views;
- something that'll incite me to visit your city;
- landmarks, with the name of the place written on them;
- airline postcards, cars, engineering masterpieces,
- Queer as Folk US;
- any Grand Theft Auto related;
- uplifting trance, eurodance, clubbing, psychedelic and recreational drugs.

Postcards that have nothing in common with the country they're sent from... It's a waste of stamps for you and a huge deception for me, so I kindly ask you to avoid sending such cards.

It's quite sad when for example, instead of getting a card from Malaysia, showing the Petronas Towers, you have a card with a cat, flowers or something completely unrelated to the place. I received a few from Singapore, USA, Germany and China that had NOTHING in common with the country, so it's quite sad. Please AVOID ADVERTIZING and hand-made/ printed POSTCARDS.

Just write as if you were sending a postcard to a friend.
I really take time to write something nice to each postcrosser, it would be nice of you to do so as well.

So, dear folks, let's send ourselves some postcards!

Greetings from Brussels,
Krys.
