About Susanne...

Hi,

My name is Susanne, I'm 39, turning 40 on 17 March 2018. I live with my boyfriend, our two sons and our two cats in a house in Amstelveen, just south of Amsterdam, the capital of The Netherlands.

Every week I put in 24 hours at the office and most of the weeks I also spend about 4 to 8 hours with Scouting. I used to be a troop leader, but nowadays I mainly work with troop leaders. I am a trainer now and get to show the next generation the ropes.

I gave birth to our first baby on 26 October 2012. A little boy! His name is Beer, which is the Dutch word for the animal 'bear'. Our second baby boy was born 17 January 2015. We named him Thijs.

I love sending and receiving mail and parcels! When I was younger I used to have serious pen pals in different countries with whom I swapped thoughts on anything happening in a young girl's life.

To make me a happy postcrosser I would love for you to write me a postcard or greeting card (with or without envelope) with something on this list. You can also check the list a little further down with my boyfriend’s preferences.

- Something to do with Disney Cars or Thomas the Tank Engine (for the boys)
- Something to do with Scouting
- Cute cartoons (Winnie the Pooh, Disney characters, Holly Hobbit, Hello Kitty, Miffy (Nijntje) or any cute character from your country)
- Illustrations of teacups or teapots.
- Children reading or being read to (can also be animals)
- Something pink (I'm way too old for it, but I love pink!)
- Candy
- Illustrations of hot air balloons
- TV series 'Gilmore Girls' or 'The Big Bang Theory'
- Birthday cards (in March)
- Christmas cards (all year round)
- Anything you want to show me (your town, your hobby, your favorite places, people or objects)
Please explain why you chose the card nyou send me.

My boyfriend is a car lover of 37 years old who restored an old Fiat 124 Spider from 1974 as a 17 year old and still drives it, almost 18 years later, as a hobby. He is a voluntary fire fighter in our town. He works full time as a service advisor (not salesman!) at BMW. He loves to receive cards, but he has a severe case of writer's block when it comes to writing chit-chat to strangers. :o)

His name is Willem Dekkers. If you like what I wrote about him and want to send him a card, use our address and his name.
To make my boyfriend happy you can send postcards of things on this list. I will register all cards he receives.

- Classic Fiats and classic Ferraris
- Classic cars
- BMWs
- Cars from your country
- Fire
- Firemen/the Fire Department (both real and cartoon)

Please remember to date your card.

Happy postcrossing!

Susanne
