Hi postcrosser!

At the moment I dedicate this account to surprise my mother: Aartje. A project I started around 30 January 2013, because she was diagnosed of having breastcancer for the second time in her life, this time in both breasts.

She had a major surgery at (wednesday 30 january 2013). And an emergency surgery (21 February 2013) due to a bacterial woundinfection. She is slowly recovering from it now.

The good news is: she is cancerfree now!! Her wound is closed, so she is also beating the bacteria!!
She is slowly taking walks outside by herself!
She is very low on energy and she has another operation waiting for her in september to fix the damage done by the bacteria.

She is not making a big issue out of it, what has to be done, has to be done. But still I want to surprise her by the support of the postcards you will be sending to her. She already got around 150 postcards of postcrossers with an id. number, or spontanious cards of people caring and wanting to support her. It has been heartwarming to see how it lifts up my mother's spirit. So thank you all for it! You do not even imagine how much it means to her.

So then my question is please send my mother a postcard, nothing heavy, just get well soon postcards, or something you would like to send you think will make her happy.

She likes Jack Russell Terriers, cats, nature and flowers.
But just anything uplifting will do. Just follow your heart.
