About Michelle...
☆☆☆ PLEASE NOTE - I'm on vacation until the end of March, so cards may come from other states. Also, there will be a delay until I'm able to register cards that I receive. Thanks for understanding! ☆☆☆
My e-mail address: silentscribe@cox.net
My name is Michelle, and I enjoy writing, drawing, photography, and lots of different crafts. I'm always reading something - some of my favorite authors are Lynn Flewelling, Jim Butcher and Charlaine Harris. I like getting to know people from around the world, and have pen pals from several different countries. I'm a TV junkie, and love shows like Glee, True Blood, Doctor Who, Supernatural, The Big Bang Theory and Merlin. I also love animals, especially my six cats. ^_^ I'm a vegetarian, working towards vegan.
My favorite kinds of postcards:
• UNESCO World Heritage sites
• nature scenes / landscapes
• cities at night
• art / fashion / culture from your country
• ancient ruins / Stonehenge
• castles / gargoyles
• native animals / plants / baby animals
• aurora borealis / lightning / rainbows / storms
• the pyramids / anything Egyptian
• US cards with the name of the state on the front
• postcards of National Parks
• postcards of famous places from your city or state
• postcards from anywhere in Alaska
• postcards from New Orleans (esp. French Quarter)
New Seven Wonders:
• The Great Wall of China
• Petra in Jordan
• Brazil's statue of Christ the Redeemer
• Peru's Machu Picchu
• Mexico's Chichen Itza pyramid
• The Colosseum in Rome
• India's Taj Mahal
Also:
• Japanese anime / manga / yaoi
• Glee / True Blood / sci-fi / LOTR / Superman
• dragons / fairies / unicorns / mermaids
• other magical creatures / fantasy art
• vampires / werewolves / anything supernatural / steampunk
• wolves / tigers / pandas / otters / owls / bats
• ballet and other dancers
• anything tea related
• vegetarian recipes
Of course, these are just suggestions, and I'll be very happy with any card you would like to send me. Some of my favorite cards that I've received have absolutely nothing to do with anything that I listed above.
I prefer my cards with the stamps and postmarks on them, so please don't put them in envelopes (unless you need to!). Please tell me something about yourself on your card - I love to learn about people. Maybe tell me what book you're reading, something you're looking forward to, or anything you think is interesting. If you could send a card that has the name of your country on it (or your state, if you're in the USA) that would be appreciated, but no worries if you can't. I'm sure I'll love all the cards that I receive. ^_^
If possible, it would be great if you could write a greeting or something in your native language, with a translation in English, or course. ^_^
Take care all, and Happy Postcrossing!
(If there's anyone out there looking for a long letter pen pal, feel free to e-mail me!)
