About Silvia...

My name is Silvia, I'm 61 years old and I live near the North Sea in the North West of Germany. I share my home with my daughter, her husband and their two little sons, one 2 1/2 years and the other 9 months old. To our family belongs as well a little dog, aged 9 years. We had three of them, but we had to say goodbye to one october 13 :( (be happy, Polly!)and to the other in november 14 (see you, Leila!) and we are still missing both of them!
I work with young people who have got difficulties in learning, understanding and behaviour and help them to organize themselves and to find a job to earn their living, hopefully.
In my spare time I enjoy my grand-sons, but I'm also fond of playing theatre for kids and adults. I like knitting, cooking, reading, pop music and I'm interested in history and beautiful old things.
I'm collecting Pixi-Books. That are very little pocket books for children, telling stories and fairy tales for the little ones, and I love them! I know, there are Danish issues, but I don't know anything about other languages. I'm certain they are known in Switzerland and Austria and I learned they exist in USA. If you could give me any information about them, even send me one, I would be soooo pleased!
Every two years I take part in the historical event "Marktfrieden" in Heide. It lasts for 4 days and there you can visit a medieval market, historical theatre and a real wedding as they did it in the Middle Ages.

I would like to receive any postcards you like, even ad cards.
I like fairy tales very much. If you send me a fairy card, please tell me, which tale it is, thank you!
I'd like to hear, what you are doing, how you live or what you like. I'm very curious to read about a lot of different and interesting people and I'm looking forward to receive many cards from all over the world!
What I don't want to receive, is a card with nothing on it at all. At least you should tell me your name and the place where you write from. I'd appriciate informations about the weather and don't forget the date, please!
After receiving one from Finland I realized that I love teddy bear cards!

Happy postcrossing and a lot of cards for all of you!
