Hello Postcrossing World from the "Heart of America" as we like to say in the midwest - Kansas City, Missouri, selected by Frommer's Travel as a Top 10 city in the World to visit in 2012!! Arrowhead Stadium, home of the NFL Kansas City Chiefs is now officially the loudest open air stadium recording a cheering crowd noise level of 137 decibels!! And add the fantastic barbeque that is available, you're gonna' love KC!!

When I am home, I am can be found enjoying our dachshund, Ute Hildigard (see Avatar), a two year old black Labrador Retriever named = Ike (Short for Eisenhower), our five year old femail black Lab = Roxie, and a tabby cat = Prince that belongs to my daughter. I also watch my birdfeeders attract local and migrating birds. I keep the squirrels away by adding some cayenne pepper to the bird seed. The birds don't mind, and the squirrels stay away for the most part! ;^)

My favorite things include family, family pets, geography, astronomy, self development, travel, and good health. My maternal grandmother turned 101 years old this past August. One of the last survivors of the Dust Bowl pioneers. She's a gem and such a delight to meet and talk to. So many great stories are shared of her days as a young girl riding on a horse drawn wagon across Oklahoma and Texas.

I've traveled to 47 States in the U.S., and 10 foreign countries: Australia, Bermuda, Canada, England, France, Honduras, Italy, Japan, Mexico, and Puerto Rico.
