Riho-Elizabeth

Hi I'm Riho from Chiba, Japan. (Elizabeth is my unofficial middle name that my host family in California gave me!) I'm working full time at the overseas sales department of a Japanese company that manufactures electric components.

I've been interested in lots of cultures from all over the world. I started studying English when I was 12, and it made me realize how fun to talk to people who speak English. In Japan, especially in my hometown, there are few foreign people and it's hard to find people from different countries, so I'm hoping to get connected to people from all over the world here on Postcrossing.

From August 2012 to June 2013, I studied abroad in California, which is the biggest experience that has made who I am. I studied at University of California, Riverside, Extension for a month, then transferred to California State University, Bakersfield and studied there for an academic year.

I like traveling! The countries I have been to are the US, Mexico, Australia, South Korea, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Cambodia, Turkey, France, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Russia. Now I'm working full time, so it's hard to find enough time to travel, but I try! Traveling gives me new views of things!

Next destination-> New York City from Aug 9th to 15th, 2023 for our honeymoon 🗽
