WELCOME to my Postcrossing profile page!
It is amazing that someone far away, will combine time, effort, expense and good friendly heart to send me a postcard. That's why Postcrossing idea is so wonderful. It isn't about finding some mail in a mailbox. It is about connecting with unexpected friend who will seriously want to learn about me, my interests, and my life and vice versa.

My avatar is misleading. I am alive, I do not smoke, however, I have been ill for years because of difficult to treat, severe asthma. Looking blue, I have had moments close to departing to the other world. Talking about skeletons you must see the fantastic movie COCO and then, you will understand the culture around me better.

I am a being, sort of advanced in years, but young in spirit, humor and actions. My name is Elżbieta, I was born, raised and educated in Poland, Cracow. Now I live in the USA in the state of New Mexico called the LAND OF ENCHANTMENT for it's unique nature and culture. My city ALBUQUERQUE, is located on the famous ROUTE 66 and also here hit movies BETTER CALL SAUL and BREAKING BAD have been filmed.

I am married and I have two grown up children, two grandchildren and a very loved Chihuahua dog, Tito. Half of my life I have worked as a scientist. Later on I became an artist (mixed media and photography).

I love traveling, gardening, nature, good design, art, beautiful interiors and architecture, I read tons of books and like to learn languages. I admire and value knowledge, skills, cultured behavior, frugal attitude and kindness. I recycle and kill plastic at every opportunity.

I detest and protest against war, cruelty, violence, dark ugliness, ignorance, fanaticism racism, cruelty and greedy politics. I want peace on Earth. I want future for my grandchildren and all beings.

I am especially curious about thousands of artists in your country we don't have an opportunity to learn about. I also love posters, illustration, graphics, folk and indigenous art.
To receive a postcard with art of Fernando Botero, Yaori Kusama, or Remedios Varo would be a wonderful gift.
Inge Löök old ladies, blue cat, gnomes and Pettson and Findus by Swen Nordgrist, all bring a smile and joy.
