About Petra...

Tervehdys Suomesta! (Greetings from Finland!)

I'm Petra, 26-year-old girl who lives in eastern part of Finland in a city called Kuopio with my lovely fiance. Currently I am student in University of Eastern Finland (UEF). My major is Finnish history. I will graduate as a history teacher soon(ish).

I don't have any regular hobbies, but I do enjoy doing things with my hand. For example, I love knitting and spinning yarn. I am also a huge history enthusiastic. Especially I am interested in war history. My specialty in historical research (thanks to my major) is Finnish military tactics and Finnish cavalry.

I prefer my cards written and stamped :) So please don't send card in an envelope without any specific reason!

All kind of postcards make me happy (don't feel stressed about it!), but I would be extra happy if there would be
- Anything that tells something about your country (or place where you are currently living/staying/visiting)
- History (especially war history or cavalry! But anything history related counts)
- medieval art
- Animals (especially ducks, parrots, sloths, cats)
- fantasy creatures
- Studio Ghibli, Ancient magus' bride, Inuyasha
- True blood, Game of thrones, Harry Potter (I am slytherin)
- motorcycles or lego for my fiance!
- for Finnish postcrossers: moomin, Inge Löök

I don't really mind what you write on card. Feel free to write anything you like! If you have no slightest idea what to write, you can tell me about your daily life, what do you do for living or something interesting about your country. It would be interesting to hear how you have handled the ongoing pandemic. You can always tell what you know about Finland. It's always fun to find out what other people know about us and our country.

Thanks and happy postcrossing! :)

Ps. Let me know if your card has been expired! I register all of the cards I receive asap.
