I'm Petro, I live in the Uptown neighbourhood of Chicago. I studied languages/linguistics as well as international politics and law at university, so I am very interested in other people and places.

I joined Postcrossing because I love writing, sending, and receiving letters. I collect fountain pens and typewriters and love using them with postcards and letter paper.

I like reading and writing, learning languages, cooking (especially Asian foods), going to restaurants and bars, attending shows (particularly punk, new wave, ska, and indie bands). I also like to travel and explore, even if it is just a part of my own city that I've not yet been to.

I am happy to receive any postcards, but since I love languages, the more words the better! (If we don't know the same languages, put it in your language, I will have fun trying to figure it out) I also would love it if you could share a word with me in your language (or in English) that is unique or special (maybe a slang word, a word particular to your region/city, something that we don't have a word for in English, or just your own favourite word.)

Regarding pictures, I am a city person, so I love to see the city or town where you live. Since I like history, vintage (or reproduction) cards are wonderful and have been some of the best postcrossings I've received. Also, as a traveller, I think planes, trains, buses are cool. So, I am also happy to hear about your daily journey to school/uni or work is like.
