About Peter...

Guten Tag, dear postcrossers!

My name is Peter, I'm a 62 years old male and I'm a commited bachelor! PEKA is my nickname since I was a little schoolboy 'cause we were five boys in the class named Peter!
I like motorcycle riding, I'm the owner of a VT 600 Shadow.
I like animals, especially wolves, buffalos and cats. Also I like plants and flowers, especially poison plants,'cause that's my profesion! I'm a master gardener, working in the Palmengarten (Botanical garden show) in Frankfurt/Main.

Postcards:
It is taking what is coming! Would be nice, however, city and country cards or postcards to show something that's typical for your home. Also I like wild animals.
Please: write a date and your signature on the postcard and don't forget the ID-Number!

To Postcrosser from Russia:
I'm a big fan of the clown Oleg Popov and kosmonaut Yuri Gagarin!
To Postcrossers from Finland: I like the Moomins!!!

Hobbies:
Collecting stamps, mostly from Russia and the former USSR. I also like stamps that were printed before 1900 - as far as I can afford it! (Sorry Peter, no Blue Mauritius for you!)
I am an avid reader, mostly fantasy and science fiction and the older I get I'm looking for history.
I like all kind of music. Growing up with the music of the Beatles, the Stones and the BeeGees, but prefer rock music of the '70th and the '80th. Also like Medieval-Rock-Music too. Favourite Groups:
"In Extremo","Corvus Corax","Tanzwut","Schandmaul","Schelmisch".

My favorite quote:
" Das Gute, dieser Satz steht fest, ist stets das Böse, das man lässt!"
"The good, this sentence is fixed, is always the evil, that you didn't done."
Wilhelm Busch, German poet and painter

Specifically:
My handwriting isn't the best (I know!) I'm trying to write as clearly as possible but I didn't always succeed. Something should not even be deciphered - sorry.

About my home:
Dietzenbach is a smalltown near by Frankfurt/Main. Here are living 36000 inhabitants, one-third of them coming from a foreign country, at the moment from over 100 different nations
"In Ditzebach, in Ditzebach, da sitzt de Deiwel unnerm Dach!"
In Dietzebach, in Dietzebach, here the devil sits under the roof!
For over 300 years this is satirical verse sung about my hometown. The reason for that was a wood carving in the gable of truss house from the 17th century. No idea what the artist wanted to represent, but it looked like a devil! The house was destroyed by an air-raid in 1941, remained is only the verse up to the present day.On 5 May 2001 the Lions Club donated Dietzenbach the figure, one in the roof entablature sitting devil called "Deiwelche." This figure now stands, despite strong protests of many citizens before the town museum. Also is "Deiwelche" the mascot of Dietzenbach. So don't wonder, if you get a postcard with a devil on it!
