Greetings from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, a university town in the "Deep South" region of the USA! I am a poet and sometimes a teacher. I have published two collections of poetry. A number of my poems are based on postcards that I have collected over the years. I like all kinds of postcards, older ones in particular, but my favorite subjects include:
tourist attractions, especially smaller, quirkier ones (such as the Weeki Wachi Spring of Live Mermaids in Florida)
tunnels, dams, bridges, airports, industry
art, especially folk art and outsider art, Greek artist Themis Tsironis, also collage, assemblage, and black & white photography
motels and tourist cabins, highways, road signs, trains
design: architecture, chairs, textiles, typography, fashion
funny old-fashioned "happy family" and "love" images (from your country)
black & white film stills, old movie glamour
