Hello, dear Friends, my name is Katri.

I was born in England to an English mum and Finnish father. Most of my life has been spent in Vancouver, B.C., but when younger I also lived and worked in other countries. I'm now retired.

My partner (who was also born in England) and I love to come back to U.K. a couple of times a year. Staying in a small village on the coast is a delightful change from being in busy Vancouver. The peace of the countryside and ocean are my biggest pleasure, he loves having his English food. We also head south to the U.S. in the winter to enjoy the sunshine.

If you receive a card from me with stamps put on crooked, or writing that isn't too neat, please forgive me... some days my hands are very clumsy from arthritis. I do try to make your card legible!

As well as lots of travel, some of my favourite pastimes are:

drinking too many cups of tea
reading mysteries, preferably ones set in other countries
smiling at dogs, they usually wag and 'smile' back
I smile at people, too ;-)
visiting botanical gardens, arboretums, and museums
watching wild birds, looking for wild flowers
taking long walks on our seawall and in parks
streaming movies or shows that make me feel positive about life
indulging my love of chocolate

I love cute illustrations and random surprise cards! I just like so many different things I've given up on a list. Christmas and other holiday cards are welcome. 😊
