About Kara...

I'm a 48-year old postcard collector. Through this hobby I see and learn about the world. If it's possible, I prefer to receive my postcard unwritten on and sent in an envelope, with a note of hello or telling about the card on a separate piece of paper. Many of you ask why. It is because I personally prefer clean, unwritten cards. It's also because of the barcoding and other damage that happens to stamped and written cards as they come through the mail machines, etc. Finally, it's because I do receive duplicates and when I do, I am able to sometimes trade or give as a gift an unwritten, crisp card. Please don't be bitter or send me nasty comments --- it's a preference that I appreciate when it's honored, not a demand. If it costs you more or is inconvenient, I understand!

I'd love to see something of your country (landscape, famous place, city view, lighthouse, UNESCO place, map, etc.) If you don't have a card that fits that, don't worry, send what you have!

I do register ALL cards received within 24 hours of receipt, and check my mailbox daily. If I didn't register your card, it's not because I didn't like it --- I didn't get it, or I couldn't read the ID and am waiting for help from Postcrossing.
